Walker Lake (Nevada)
Walker Lake is a natural lake of 272 km ² located in the area of the Grand Basin, in the State of the Nevada (. It is in the Mineral county, to 120 km in the south-east of the town of Reno, along the Eastern slope of the Wassuk Range.
It forms the remainder of a larger prehistoric lake, the Lake Lahontan which covered a good part of the area during the era glacaire. It was drained several times since the end of the Pléistocène.
