Waldo de Reichenau
Waldo de Reichenau also called Walto (C. 740 - † 814 in Paris), resulting from the franque Nobility, he was abbot and bishop under the reign of Charlemagne.
Biography
In 782, he becomes abbot with the abbey of Saint-Gall in Switzerland where he establishes a library there.
Of 786 with 806 he is abbot with the Monastère of Reichenau where he also establishes there a library and a school.
Charlemagne appoints it bishop of Pavia and Basle in 791.
In 805 Charlemagne names it imperial abbot and abbot of the Abbaye from Saint-Denis in Paris where he dies in 814.
