Waldemar Pawlak , born on September 5th, 1959, is a Politician Polish which was twice Prime Minister, the first time in July (government transitory without cabinet), and the second time of October 26th 1993 at March 1st 1995.

Since 1991, he is president (elected) of the Parti country Polish (PSL), one of oldest and more important Polish parties. He is appointed of Płock since 1989, is re-elected in 1991,93,97,2001 and 2005.

With the presidential election of 1995, it obtains 4,31% of the voices, that is to say 770.000 votes.

He was re-elected president of the PSL in 2005.

Following the legislative elections of October 2007, the party of Waldemar Pawlak is combined with the Civic platform (PO) of Donald Tusk, allowing him to obtain a majority at the Parliament. It is indicated Deputy Prime Minister, responsible for the economy.
