Walck
Walck is a common French, located in the department of the the Low-Rhine and the area Alsace.
Geography
History
1847: By royal decree, the commune of Walck is detached from the commune of Bitschhoffen
During several years, Walck was famous for its factories of shoes; it was an industrial village. Adi DASSLER, the founder of Adidas, established its first factories with Walck. Still today, the village shelters the factory of safety shoes HECKEL, one of the world leaders of the shoe. A diversification of industrial fabric however is tried with the presence of the ADEC which wants to be a seedbed of young innovating companies.

Armorial bearings
The armorial bearings of the commune represent Saint Laurent, vĂȘtu of gold and money, holding in its right hand the grill of the gold torment and in its left hand a book of the silver Gospels closed, on red bottom. St. Lawrence martyrdom is represented like the guard of the commune.
