Waka

The waka (), or yamato ATU , is a kind of Poésie Japan board. It indicates several forms of poems, two more known being the Tanka (, or poem runs) and the Chōka (, or long poem). The forms bussokusekika , sedoka and katauta fell in disuse at the beginning from the era Heian, and the chōka knew the same fate little time afterwards. Therefore the term waka indicates often simply the tanka .
