Waiheke island
The island Waiheke is a New Zealand island , located in the Hauraki gulf.
This island is located at approximately about thirty minutes of boat of Auckland.
It has an important economic activity related on tourism but also to agriculture. (Vineyards and olive groves).
The island makes 19.3 km length of the West in the East and 0.64 km to 9.65 km broad with a surface of 92 km ². The coasts represent 133.5 km and include 40 km of beaches.
Eight thousand inhabitants live on the island but the population passes to 30.000 inhabitants the summer.
One finds an airport private (Waiheke Island Aerodrome) close to bay of Onetangi.
