Wörnitz (river)
The Wörnitz is an affluent on left bank of the the Danube which runs in Bavaria, Germany.
It takes its source in Western Bavaria in the Frankenhöhe close to Schillingsfürst and sprinkles the towns of Dinkelsbühl and Wassertrüdingen, before it pénêtre in the Astroblème de Ries starting from Auhausen where he takes the direction of the south.
Wörnitz is also known for its multiple elbows and is consequently called the " river of the files of attente". It leads after 132,5 km to Donauwörth.
