Vybz Kartel , Vybz Trust , Addi di Teacha or Adidja Azim Micrometer caliper born with Kingston in 1976, is singer and Dj jamaïcain.

Biography

Of its true name Adidja Micrometer caliper, Vybz Kartel is currently one of the Deejay S more in for Jamaica. Very young person, his/her uncle initiates it with the music while making him listen to artists such as Sam Cooke or Man Ninja. While growing its tastes will go from Bounty Killer to Charlie Chaplin while passing by Papa San, Buju Banton or Will Smith. Very early it tried to bore thanks to contests and radios hooks but unfortunately its attempts are not crowned success.

It however continues to write its texts and leaves its first individual at the age 12 years: Conceited Women on the label One Heart. Its pseudo is then Adi Banton in reference to Buju Banton. But the title is far from being a success. 4 years later it forms a group with 2 friends whom they call Vybz Kartel but they will separate quickly and Adidja will keep the pseudo one. Located by Bounty Killer, its career begins really at this time there.

Vybz Kartell to write texts to him of which High rank for ever or Warlord rules the world . It starts to travel its only in 2001 with some titles of which combinations with another young person, Wayne Marshall. Named DJ of the year 2002, it benefits from it to pose on all the bad riddims of this time. Signed on the label Greensleeves, it leaves its first album Up 2 di time in 2003. The title is a gimmick which characterizes it at the time of its shows or on its pieces.

With producers like Gift Corleon (Sean Paul, Elephant Man), or Trevor James (50cent), it is essential like one of the deejays dancehall more in sight. Vybz Cartel also takes part on the albums of Rihanna or Missy Elliott.

In 2006 several pieces of Vybz Kartel appears on the mixtape of " The Chinese Assassin DJ' S - Still Badda daN De Rest" at the sides of Idonia, Man Elephant, Bounty Killer, Capleton. This same year it changes pseudonym for " Addi di Teacha" .

Vybz Kartel it is found in several crystallized with other artists reggae like Spragga Benz or Beenie Man.

In February 2007 the competitions between Vybz Kartel and Mavado ends, both singer promises to make a song together.
