Vrčin
Vrčin , in Serb Cyrillic Sr Врчин, is a locality of Serbia located in the municipality of Grocka, district of Belgrade. In 2002, it counted: 8687 inhabitants, of which a majority of Serb.
Vrčin is located at the south-east of the mount Avala, at 20 km in the south-east of Belgrade and at 14 km in the west of Grocka. The locality is also located on the railway line Belgrade Požarevac and the highway Belgrade Niš (European Route E75).
In spite of its demographic strong growth, Vrčin is officially classified among the rural localities. By its population, it is the second city of the municipality after Kaluđerica. Semi-official estimates, including a great number of refugees, allot a population to him of: 18221 inhabitants.
The economy of the locality is founded on agriculture.
Tranšped
Vrčin extends on the two sides of the highway; the part which extends to the east is familiarly called Tranšped (in Serbe Cyrillique: Траншпед ). This sector forms a continuous urban area with Zaklopača.
