The October 19th 732, it is probable that it is on the territory of the commune, with the hamlet of Foamed (renamed since Foam-the-Battles ), that the Francs ordered by Charles Martel pushed back a raid carried out by Abd el Rahman, at the time of the battles of Poitiers.
