Vottem (in Walloon Voteme ) is a section of the common Belgian of Herstal, located in Walloon region in the Province of Liege.

It was a common to whole share before the fusion of the communes of 1977. Part of the commune had already amalgamated with that of Liege in 1975.

The village was destroyed in 1484 during the fight between Jean de Hornes and Guillaume of Marck.
