Sword vorpal (or vorpale)

Vorpal is a word created by Lewis Carroll in the poem “Jabberwocky,” associated with the sword, meaning edge.

Keeps and dragons

In the Roleplay Keeps and dragons , the sword vorpale is a powerful magic weapon which can decapitate the struck creatures. In the event of 20 naturalness on the jet of attack, follow-up of a critical confirmation of successful blow, the head of the target (if it has one of them) is automatically separated from its body. Certain creatures do not have a head (it is the case of many aberrations and all the muds). Others, such as the Golem S and the death-alive (excluded Vampire S), are not affected by the loss of their head. With these rare exceptions, the creatures whose head is distinct die at once.

Derived terms

the Qualifying adjective vorpalin was used in fiction (more particularly “blade vorpaline”).
In a novel of Stephen King, vorpal is in fact old a Acronyme meaning Victory Over Ruin, Pestilence And Lust (Victoire on the ruin, the stench and the lust).

Other references

the video games, like Golden delicious Sun or the Bruise off, present sometimes swords called " Vorpal". In Bruise off Phantasia, it is an element necessary to forge the Eternal Sword; it probably appears in the same circumstances in Tales off Symphonia, but its name is not quoted. The " Vorpal" blow; is only the " hurlement" of a special weapon in Sun Golden delicious, but it does not have any role in the history.
There is also a character of parody called king Vorpal. It directs people of extraterrestrial.
PEN off Chaos in " The Keep of Naheulbeuk " there also referred. The Barbarian, the market of the town of Chnafon, asks the arms manufacturer if it would not have " a sword vorpale + 3 two hands with handle leather and guard amovible."
