Volusien

Gaius Vibius Volusianus was an emperor of Rome to the IIIe century.

Wire of Trébonien Galle and Afinia Geminated Baebiana, it had a sister, Vibia Galla. After the death of Dèce, Trébonien was high under emperor in June 251. It adopted Hostilien, the son of its predecessor, and Auguste did it, and named his/her own son Volusien César . But Hostilien died of the Peste hardly a month later, and Volusien thus replaced it as Co-emperor. Trébonien and Volusien were killed at the time of a rebellion of their own troops in 253.
