The Volques Tectosages , literally " the people which seek a toit" , are people Celte originating in the Central Europe, undoubtedly of Bohemian and Moravie. A part is installed on the heights of the valley of the the Garonne in IIIe front S.J.C. Their displacement towards the south of Gaulle could be related to the outlets which the mercenariat offered (offers on behalf of the Greeks, Carthaginian and Romans).

Volques Tectosages took part in the great forwarding of 280 av. J.C which led them in Asia Mineure or Tectosages form one of the three large people of Gallates. The tradition wants that Volques Tectosages of the Toulouse region took part in this great forwarding. They would have taken part in the plundering (undoubtedly imaginary) of the sanctuary of Delphes and would have brought back as a Gaulle spoils which would be at the origin of the Or of Toulouse. This gold would be struck of curse because of its origin sacrilege.
