The Combi Volkswagen or Volkswagen Type 2 or To transport or VW drunk , is the second line of motor vehicle presented by the German Car manufacturer Volkswagen in 1950.

The first line of motor vehicle was the Coccinelle or Volkswagen Type 1. The “Combi” is the name of the most widespread version of Type 2. This vehicle is generally regarded as the precursor of the modern vans of cargo and passengers. Type 2 generated a certain number of imitateurs to the the United States and in Europe like the Ford Econoline, the Dodge A100, and the Chevrolet Chevy Van. The production of Type 2 starts in 1950, to finish in 1979, that is to say nearly thirty years later.

Combi was resolutely intended for Jeunes, most of the time Hippie S: its convivial, useful side was perfect for exits between friends.

Today, the combi fascine nostalgic of the Culture Hippie, but also the Young Surfing ers and enthusiast of Freedom.
