Voivod

Voïvod is a group of Thrash metal and industrial Metal Québécois formed with Jonquière in 1982 and composed of Denis “'' Piggy ''” Of Love (guitar), Michel “ Away ” Langevin (battery), Denis “ Snake ” Bélanger (voice), Jason Newsted (low).

History

Voïvod is founded in Jonquière in 1982. The Voïvod is a knight-vampire-androïde of the era postnucléaire. Inspired a Transylvanian legend , this anti-hero left straight of imaginary Away , the beater, author and illustrator of the group. The character Voïvod evolves/moves and metamorphose himself from one album to another.

The formation acquires a professional reputation with the album of Killing Technology , which showed a greater control of their instruments.

The album known Nothingface a relative critical success, the part Astronomy Dominates , a resumption of the group Pink Floyd, attracting a larger audience.
