Voiron

Voiron is a common French, located in the department of the Isere and the area the Rhone-Alps.

Located at 25 km in the north of the Grenoble-native agglomeration , Voiron is divided into two cantons (north and south). It counts approximately 20.500 inhabitants, the Voironnais . It is also the city centers Pays Voironnais, gathered in community of agglomeration thirty-four communes and of almost 90.000 inhabitants.

It is called capital Chartreuse .

Voiron and Coublevie are served by a network of urban bus composed of 3 lines. Lines 1 and 3 serve only the commune of Voiron, whereas line 2 serves Voiron and Coublevie.

Voiron is also served by the interurban network of the Transports of the Countries Voironnais like by the network Transisère, both centered on the coach station and the SNCF railway station of Voiron.
