The Viscount of Cressac built at the beginning of the twentieth century a castle (always mentioned on the Michelin charts) on the site of Châteaubrun. After its death, its creditors were useful themselves on this unfinished residence that the Viscount wanted an evocation of the castle of Pau. A postcard entitled Surroundings of Giat, Châteaubrun guard memory of this building. A horse-gear for the horses marks the site of this disappeared castle. In wood close a building marked to a cross must be the old funerary vault of the castle. A tower at the entry of the current field of Châteaubrun remains too.The church preserves a stained glass representing a saint, whose features would take again those of the Viscount of Cressac.
The House of the archaeological inheritance of Voingt gathers many objects discovered at the time of the recent excavations: daggers out of flint of the workshops of Large Pressigny, sigillée ceramics of Lezoux. Telephone 04 73 21 71 99.
