Voblast de Moguilev

The area of Moguilev ( Mahiloŭ Province ) is an administrative Voblast and a geographical area of the Republic of the Bélarus with for capital Mogilev. The area itself is divided into 21 administrative districts grouping approximately 3.000 villages.

This area as well as the Voblast de Homiel suffered severely from the nuclear accident of Chernobyl.

Geographical location

Area located on banks of the principal Haut-Dniepr and its affluents: the Soge and the Bérézina.
Surface: 29.000 km ², extending on 300 km from west in are and on 150 km of north in the south.
