Vmeh
The VMEH for Visit of the Patients in the Hospitals, is an apolitical and nondenominational association of which the goal is to provide to the hospitalized people an attentive listening, a comfort, a help.
It consists of more than 8.000 voluntary distributed on all the territory assuming 2.000.000 of visits in a thousand of establishments (hospital, old people's homes, convalescent homes etc). The patients, mainly those which do not receive a visit of their close relations profit from a friendly presence and a listening. These visits are, of course possible, only if the patient accepts this foreign presence, the visitor not being neither a Medical staff nor a member of his family. The national center of connection gathers the whole of departmental associations to coordinate the actions on the territory and to represent the VMEH at the national level.
