Vladimir Jirinovski

Vladimir Volfovitch Jirinovski (Влади́мирВо́льфовичЖирино́вский) is a Russian politician born the April 25th 1946, president of the Parti liberal-democrat (ЛДПP).

Vladimir Jirinovski was born under the name of Eidelstein with Alma-ATA in the Soviet socialist Republic from the Kazakhstan. Into 1964, it changes its name which indicates in an obvious way the Judéité of his/her father for the name of his mother: Jirinovski.

Jirinovski follows linguistic studies to the university of Moscow and specializes in the language and the Turkish-speaking world (its area of origin, Kazakhstan belongs to the Turkish world , the language and the history of the country being related to the populations of Turkish language).

After having finished its studies, Jirinovski returns to the Comité of safety of the State (the KGB), follows in parallel of the studies of right, then launches out in policy in 1990 with the foundation of its party, the party liberal-democrat.

This name very badly expresses the political corpus on which the PLD is founded: xenophobia (primarily anti-Caucasian), anti-semitism, military expansionism, return in a strong State, intensive policy of repression against the delinquents, homophobie… To this political program of extreme right-hand side territorial claims like the return of the Alaska are added, of the old socialist republics in Russia, as well as the conquest of the Iran (Jirinovski was financially constant by his/her friend the former Iraqi president Saddam Hussein). Jirinovski recommends even the use of the atomic bomb so necessary.

A question remains in the spirit of certain Russians: Does Jirinovski still work for the security services (in fact the heir to the KGB, FSB) or not? The FSB could, according to some, to seek to control the extreme line, via a man of the house; or to seek to destabilize the right parties with outrageous remarks so that another old agent of the KGB (the president Vladimir Poutine) has the free way to position in full center of the political chessboard without seeing itself doubling on the right.

Jirinovski is an admiror of Pat Buchanan, the chief religious line American and the former chancellor Nazi Adolf Hitler.

The elections are hardly favorable to Jirinovski: so at the time of the first presidential elections of 1990, it obtains 8% of the voices. In 1996 and 2000, it does not cease regressing to finish on March 26th, 2000 with 2,7%. March 14th, 2004, it gives up being presented vis-a-vis Vladimir Poutine outgoing president which the surveys announce already triumphantly re-elected. Its party introduces the candidate Oleg Malychkine who obtains 2%.

With 11,38% and 38 seats, the LPD is today the third party at the Duma, behind the party of the President Putin plain Russia and the Communist party of the Federation of Russia (PCFR or КПPФ) which obtained 12,7%.
