Vizards

Origins

The vizards , also called “terrestrial forces of the masks”, are old shinigami become outlaw. By breaking the barrier separating shinigami from hollows , they obtained capacities of hollow with an aim of increasing their power. While acting of the kind, they were forced to leave the Soul Society . The word Vizard is a deformation of the English word visored (either masked), but it also resembles the word wizard (or wizard). It also makes think of a form of magic called the Wicca.

Appearance

Visible by the commun run of human, the vizards are a race with whole share. They exchanged their tunics of shinigami for more common clothes while keeping to them zanpakuto . When a vizard releases its hollow , a mask appears on its face. Each mask of vizard is single and changes form according to its owner, in the same manner as the zanpakuto . Contrary to Ichigo, the vizards control their hollows perfectly interior. They can thus combine capacities of shinigami and hollows with their own way to fight with more effectiveness.

Organization

The eight shinigami outlaw met in a group and live in community in the world of the human ones. The intentions and the goals of this organization are not precisely revealed but the vizards are perfectly with the current of the disorders which shake the Soul Society as well as the plan of domination of Aizen.

Relation with Ichigo

By learning that Ichigo has to him also an interior hollow , the vizards contact it with an aim of rejoining it with their organization for the war against the Arrancars of Aizen. The eight known vizards are:
