Viviane Reding
Viviane Reding , born the April 27th 1951 with the Esch-on-Alzette with the Luxembourg, is a political woman Luxembourg. She is European police chief charged with the company of information and the media in the Commission Barroso since the November 22nd 2004. She was already member of the Commission Prodi since 1999. It known to have succeeded in imposing to the European operators telephone the reform of the tariffs of Roaming when it was police chief European.
Biography
Born with the Esch-on-Alzette with the Luxembourg, the April 27th 1951, it studied with the Sorbonne with Paris where it obtained a doctorate are Social sciences. Of 1978 with 1999 it was leader-writer with the principal Luxembourg newspaper, Luxemburger Wort. It in addition directed the Luxembourg Union of the journalists of 1986 to 1998.
It started a political career in 1979 while being made elect appointed in Luxembourg, in 1989 it became appointed European what it will remain until its nomination with the Commission Prodi in 1999, with for load education, culture, youth, media and sports.
Viviane Reding is married and has three children.
