Vivian John Woodward ( Viv ) was a former player of Football English, center-forward, born the June 3rd 1879 with Kennington, and dead the January 31st 1954 with London. He knew twelve years of celebrity, between the clubs of Tottenham Hotspur of 1902 to 1908 (joining 1st League in 1908), and of Chelsea in 1908-1915. He still played in 1920, 40 years old, as a captain of the team of the county of Essex (then he devoted himself to the cricket, tennis… and the roller skates). He honors himself with 26 professional national selections (29 goals), and with 44 as amateurs, between 1903 and 1913. Ignored of French, but recognized like the first footballistic celebrity in her own country, it has one of the most beautiful world prize lists of before the First World War.

- Olympic champion with the national selection in 1908 (it then marks eight goals, the greatest number by English in a tournament) and in 1912 (he was captain during the two tournaments).
- Champion of division II with North Essex League in 1899 and 1900.
- Cut of Essex Juniors in 1900.
- Finalist of the Cut of England (CA Cup) in 1915.
- Vice-champion of England of DII in 1908.
