Vivi
Vivi , founded the September 26th 1879, and located out of Right Bank vis-a-vis Matadi on the River Congo, was the first capital of the State independent of Congo of July 1st 1885 at May 1st 1886. Boma took this title until October 31st 1929.
The origin of name of the locality would not be Bantou E, but quite European. The initial ones of Lievin Van de Velde (an assistant of Henry Morton Stanley) would have given their name to the station.
