Viva Bertaga

Viva Bertaga is an album live of Bérurier Noir recorded November 9th, 10th and 11th 1989 at the time of the three concerts of good-bye which the group gave to Olympia. The album east left in 1990 on the label New Pink (it will be republished thereafter on FZM).

In 1989, little time after the exit of the album Often always mown hammers , the group announces its separation. Tired ceaseless concerts, tensions which started to appear within the group, of the problems with Bondage and refusing to sign on the majors Bérurier Noir thus prefer to stop in full glory rather than to continue the adventure.
Thus the group will be found, after a round of good-bye in Switzerland and in Quebec, to carry out its last concerts the November 9th, 10th and 11th in Olympia making full room lasting these three jours.
These three memorable concerts will be recorded and the following year (1990) will leave an album live heading Viva Bertaga. The album owes its name under a novel of San Antonio, the universe of San Antonio had already inspired the group besides to find its name (“ Bérurier ” being at the base the name of a character of San Antonio).

Through the score of song of the album it is all the career of the group which reviewed. The album thus sees this mixing the titles dark and serious of the time Macadam ( " massacres; The night noire" , " Manifeste" …) and festive anthems of the period Abracadaboum ( " Headache chinois" , " The emperor Tomato Ketchup" , " Circus" macadam; …). Are also present great classics of Concerto for Ruined like " Helene and the sang" , " Porcherie" or " Renard" . Finally with pieces like " Camouflage" , " Noir" sun; and " Protesta" the last songs of the group are not in remainder.
One also finds in Viva Bertaga two recoveries: " Panik " resumption of Metal Urbain (one of the great influence of Black Bérurier) and " Yew the kids are united" recovery of Sham 69.

By the vast panorama which it offers on what was " the adventure bérurière" and by the energy which emerges from its titles compared to their versions studios the album Viva Bertaga is often regarded as one of the albums most important of Bérurier Noir.
