Vittorio Messori (born in 1941 with Sassuolo, close to Modena, in Emilie-Romagna -) is a writer and contemporary Italian journalist.

Biography

Graduate of a doctorate political sciences, Vittorio Messori becomes editor of the newspaper Stampa.

He explored in-depth the spiritual sources of the Christianisme and more especially of the Catholicisme.

He wrote, inter alia: the Assumption of Jesus (1977), Opus Dei (1996), Talks on the Faith (“The Ratzinger Carryforward”).

This last work consists of a series of discussions with the Pope Benoît XVI.
