Vittorio Emanuele Orlando
Vittorio Emanuele Orlando , born with Palermo the May 19th 1860, died in Rome on February 1st 1952, President of the Italian Council in 1917.
It is named President of the Council the October 30th 1917, after humiliating demolished Caporetto. With the congress of Versailles, it represents Italy. He asks the allies to honor the Accords with London (1915), so that Italy recovers the grounds irrédentes. In front of the refusal of Wilson to yield these territories to Italy, it leaves the conference. Its position will be some weakened and the post-war period will be marked in Italy by nationalist agitation .
