Vittoria Tesi
Vittoria Tesi (born the February 13rd 1700 with Florence - died the May 9th 1775 with Vienna, Austria) was a singer of opera Italy of the 18th century.
Biography
Vittoria Tesi makes its beginnings on scene at 16 years. Until 1737 it occurs in all Italy, mainly with Naples, dividing the high-speed motorboat with the castrati Farinelli and Caffarelli, or Francesca Cuzzoni.
She sings then with Madrid, the court of Philippe V and with Vienna.
She withdraws in 1750 to devote herself to teaching: Caterina Gabrielli, A.L. De Amicis and Elisabeth Teyber is among her pupils.
She dies in Vienna the May 9th 1775.
Contralto, it had a splendid serious stamp, which enabled him to hold some masculine roles with the beginning of its career. Enough disgracieuse, it compensated by a scenic play, an intelligibility of the texts and qualities expressive out of the commun run.
