Vitry-the-Cluny

Vitry-the-Cluny is a common French, located in the department of Saône-et-Loire and the area Burgundy.

Geography

The commune is divided into two agglomerations, the Borough and Bezornay, connected between them by a road. The high part of Bezornay belongs to the commune bordering on Saint-Vincent of the Meadows.

Below the agglomerations, runs a river, the Guye, affluent of the Gande.

History

The city comprises many historical houses, in the Borough the Church dates from the Middle Ages. In Bezornay was an appendix, currently in ruins, Abbaye of Cluny.
