Vitry-en-Perthois
Vitry - in Perthois is a common French, located in the department of the Marne and the area Champagne-Ardenne. Its inhabitants is the Pavois .
Geography
History
It was formerly called Vitry-the-Flaring , after being entirely destroyed by fire, initially by the army of Louis VII of France in 1142, then in 1544 by the armies of Charles Quint.François Ier ordered his rebuilding. However, it was rebuilt in a slightly different place, current the Vitry-le-François.
