The vitrification of a parquet floor is a technique which makes it possible to protect a parquet floor, to improve its aspect and to facilitate its maintenance. It consists of the application of a varnish to parquet floors which one can find in aqueous phase (without odor and with fast drying) or in phase solvent (to be diluted with White spirit).
Once vitrified, a parquet floor can have several aspects: shining, glossed, waxed, etc
To obtain a vitrified parquet floor of quality, the application of two or three layers with a fine sandpapering between each one is necessary.
