Vitis rupestris
Vitis rupestris is a Arbrisseau sarmentous of the family of the Vitacées, previously called Ampélidacées cultivated for its Fruit S in bunches. She reaches heights of 0,6 with 2m. One finds vine American in the states Tennessee, Kentucky, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, New Mexico City, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Texas, Louisiana and the Mississippi.
Many crossings were carried out with American species (Vitis riparia, Vitis berlandieri.) to obtain Understock S or hybrid. Certain hybrids are the subject still of an important culture:
- Marshal Foch as well as many hybrids of Albert Seibel.
