Vitis berlandieri

Vitis berlandieri is a Arbrisseau sarmentous of the family of the Vitacées, previously called Ampélidacées cultivated for its Fruit S in bunches. She can climb at the top of the high trees.

The first samples were harvests in 1834 in the Comté of Bexar to the Texas by J.L. Berlandier, Swiss botanist and raise large botanist Augustin Pyrame de Candolle.

Another name in modern litérature: Vitis cinerea VAr. helleri

Many crossings were carried out with American species (Vitis riparia, Vitis rupestris.) to obtain Understock S or hybrid.
