Vitalic , alias Pascal Arbez , is an artist French of Electronic music born in 1976.

Biography

Pascal Arbez, originating in Dijon, studies the English, the Russian , and the Classical music - he plays then of the Trombone. He assists with the eighteen year old neighborhoods to a concert of the Daft Punk to the Dijonese club Year-iron, and it is for him the revelation. Its first EP appear with the format vinyl as of 1996 and 1997, under various Pseudonyme S: Dima, Hustler Pornstar, Vital Ferox with Al Ferox (alias Alessandro F, of its true name Alessandro Farace) of the label Kobayashi Records. It does not interest whereas fans of the underground.

He meets then Michel Amato (alias The Hacker), in Rex, the temple Techno of Laurent Garnier, and becomes friendly with Amato, cofounder of the French label Goodlife based with Grenoble. Amato suggests in Arbez sending its new pieces to DJ Hell with Munich. This last is in addition cofounder with the Marseillais David Caretta of the label International Gigolo Records.

Under the pseudonym of Vitalic (inspired of the Russian first name Vitali or Vitaly ) in 2001 appears on the label of DJ Hell Poney EP , album made up of four titles. It is this same label which had also launched Miss Kittin at the end of the Années 1990. The title of this EP refers to the ill-treatment Poney S in the fun fairs. This vinyl becomes shortly after its exit the album more sold label Gigolo Records. The title the Rock'n'roll 01 is thereafter Remix E by Sven Väth, and is reproduced on many compilations, of which compilation As Heard one Radio operator Soulwax pt.2 of the 2 Many DJ' S.

Following the success of this EP, Vitalic is requested to leave an album, but it takes its time, carrying out several orders of remix, and being devoted to live, initially with The Hacker, then in solo. In 2005, Vitalic leaves its first album OK Cowboy , on the label Different/PIAS. All the instruments of which it was useful in the album false and are produced using a Synthétiseur. The beaches of synthé (with the Jean Michel Guard hair) rêveuses and melancholic persons alternate with powerful Rif S of machines, voice of vocodées and mysterious synthesis often (omnipresent in the electro discofunk as of the Années 1970).

Since 2006, Vitalic is occupied by its round with the the United States, where the NewYork Times compares it with Mylo and Isolée. It brings out in July a version collector of its album OK Cowboy containing versions live, old maxis, and Bells , a new title in duet with Linda Lamb under the pseudonym The Silures.

CD recorded at the time of a concert in live Belgium entitled V left on September 24th, 2007, on the label DIfferent Records . One finds there eight new titles and of lives of titles present on OK Cowboy .
