Vision Off Disorder is a group of Hardcore, playing in a register sometimes Post-hardcore or Metal of origin New York ease, more precisely of Long Island.

History

Their first opus; Still leaves in 1995 and obtains a strong success, enough so that the powerful label Roadrunner Records sign them and allow them to open towards a broader audience. Vision Off Disorder is the name of the second album and is born in 1996, this album obtains the support of a scene hardcore old school, but one starts to foresee with dimensions a little a metal closer to the typical groups of Roadrunner Records.

1997 is the year of the exit of Imprint which explodes the group as much towards the fans hardcores that on the more commercial wave and any news: Néo-Metal, Phil Anselmo the Chanteur of Pantera takes part besides in a song By The River . Later in 1999 leaves For The Bleeders which wants to be joining again with the tradition hardcore and in 2001 From Bliss To Devastation , this album buries definitively the sound hardcore with the profit of a sound more Metal, to see Grunge or Heavy, groups like Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, to see Black Sabbath will be the new comparisons of Vision Off Disorder .

' VOD marked its musical print forever, it is a group born of influences Hardcore such as: Minor Threat, 25 Your Life, Earth Crisis, Snapcase, Sick Off It All, Madmall, Fury Off Five. but VOD also sailed with the sound Metal, time Roadrunner Records: Machine Head, Soulfly, Coal Chamber, Fear Factory. Inspired a generation Néo-Metal (: Limp Bizkit, KoЯn and Deftones) and Metalcore (: 36 Crazyfists or GlassJaw) Compared sometimes even has a current more Extrème like the groups Will Haven, Hatebreed, Strife.
