It is a member of the Vengeurs.

Origins

In the beginning, Vision is a creation of the robot Ultron intended to become a weapon against the Vengeurs. Ultron made use of the body of the first Human Torch (Jim Hammond) and of the mémorielles sequences of Wonder Man that all thought deceased. The Vision, more than one simple robot, succeeds in being released from the control of Ultron and helped the Avengers. It made since part of the team.

At the time of their common adventures, Vision and the Red Sorcière (Wanda Maximoff) approached.

After a combat against Annihilus, it was damaged and repaired by Isaac, the I.A. of the Éternels of Titan. It succeeds in extracting the chip from control of Ultron and worked to develop its humanity. But disturbed by the operation, it tried to take control of the world by pirating all the computers, like had made Isaac. Its intentions were pure, but realizing of its error, it stopped its plan.

Thanks to her capacities of handling of reality, the Red Witch made possible fecundation between them, and it was confined of two twins.

Later, their house was burned by demonstrators anti-mutants and they joined the seat of the Vengeurs of the West coast.

By fear of a new attack, certain countries made use of Oiseau Mocker to capture Vision. He was dismounted and lobotomisé. But the Avengers recovered the parts, and Pym rebuilt it. Its body became white then. Wonder Man refused that his memory again is copied, and Vision turned over at the stage of simple robot, without emotions. Its relation with Wanda suffered much from it.

Functioning badly and feeling decreased, Vision sought the assistance of Doctor Miles Lipton, which agreed to provide him the sequences memories of his/her son deceased. The synthézoide could then redécouvrir and exploit new its “human” talents.

The Vision took again its green and yellow body after the old one, the white, was destroyed in an attack against Proctor.

It belonged to the heroes catapulted in another dimension during the confrontation against Onslaught. On its return, it was seriously wounded by Morgan Fey. There passed the essence of its time to take again forces, and remained inactive lasting long months. He neglected Wanda, which led them to break definitively.

Recently, the Vision was destroyed at the time of the saga Avengers Disassembled , by a mad Miss Hulk, whereas it had just extracted from its body from the robots of the Ultron type attacking the Avengers.

Its body in spare parts was preserved by Iron Man and was found by Iron Lad of the Jeunes Avengers. It seems that the Vision had envisaged, like a kind of program of safeguard or safety, to train a new team of Vengeurs in the event of disappearance of the first and for that had recorded all information on potentials novel members.

Capacities

  • Vision is a synthézoide, i.e. a robot-like being of synthesis. It does not need to eat, nor to breathe.

  • It has a force and a superhuman endurance.
  • Its capacity principal is to handle its own density. By decreasing it, it can become intangible and cross the solid physical matter, like the walls. Thanks to that, it can léviter and to fly at fallback speed. It also makes use of this capacity to the combat, to disturb the nervous system of its adversaries, which causes to make them unconscious, to see to even kill them. By increasing its density, it becomes very heavy and almost insensitive with the shocks, its body becoming hard like diamond.
  • Vision, as an intelligent robot, can be connected to any computer. Its artificial intelligence enables him to record any information.
  • It is equipped with various sensors.
  • It has a solar gem encrusted on the face, able to emit thermal rays. It is this gem which stores solar energy and allows him car-to feed in energy, to be even repaired only.
