Synopsis

Data processing specialist of foreground to the head of a company working with the creation of virtual universes, Hannon Fuller conceived a program simulating the Années 1930 of his youth and connects time to it to other to evolve/move there. During one of its immersions inside simulation, it leaves bound for its Douglas associate a message testifying to terrible discovered. Once disconnected, of return in the real-world, it goes in a bar to contact Douglas, but is assassinated at the time when it telephones to him. The police force quickly suspects Douglas of the murder of the old scientist. To include/understand what occurred, the hero will have to immerse itself in his turn in the virtual world. But here are that emerges in an unexpected way Jane Fuller, which is presented in the form of a girl of the assassinated scientist, and ready to take the head of the company to dissolve it…

The topic of this film is drawn from the novel Simulacron 3 of Daniel F. Galouye, with some adaptations making it possible to better differentiate with the screen the “real” world (or at least it is believed) from the “simulated” world: the second, contemporary of the first in the book, is located one half-century earlier in film, and affected voluntarily of light a dominant sepia.
