Virginy
Virginy is a common French, located in the department of the Marne and the area Champagne-Ardenne.
History
The abbey of Moiremont had goods there. The shepherds of the surroundings celebrated Christmas there, carrying a lamb with the Midnight mass.

The Saint Martin's day church rebuilt after the war preserves the statue out of wooden of Notre-Dame of the Trenches, in the folds of which the Hairy ones wrote prayers (see also the stained glass where the statue in the middle of the Hairy ones is illustrated).
Personalities related to the commune
Jean Buvat, librarian of the king, were probably born in Virginy (to be checked), one him must have detected a plot thanks to his activity of copyist under Regency.
