Virginie Dedieu

Virginie Dedieu is a French champion of synchronized Natation, born the February 25th 1979 with Aix-en-Provence.

Multiple champion of France and Europe, it especially was crowned 3 times of continuation world champion in solo and obtained a bronze medal with the OJ of Sydney in duet with Myriam Lignot. Whereas she had announced her sporting retirement after its second world title in 2005 (to continue studies of Interior architecture and Design), she returned to the competition to gain a third consecutive title in 2007. She explained then: My body is made for this sport. I am made for this sport. I am light thus I can go high. I am small thus swift. And I am strong in apnea .
