Virginia creeper or vigne' - virgin is an expression which usually indicates many climbing plants of species and varieties close belonging to the family to the Vitacées and with the kinds Parthenocissus , Ampelopsis and Cissus .

They are in general plant used as cover-walls, with null and void sheets.

The “true Virginia creeper” is the Virginia creeper of Virginia ( Parthenocissus quinquefolia ).

Another species largely used is the Japanese Lierre or Vine-virgin with three points ( Parthenocissus tricuspidata ).
