Virginia Henderson
Virginia Henderson was born the November 30th 1897 with Kansas City, E. - U.. Its first name comes to him of its family origins of the State of Virginia. It obtains its diploma for the occupation of nurse in 1921. She died the March 19th 1996.

Virginia Henderson is a American nurse at the origin of the model of the 14 fundamental needs It contributed by its lesson and its work of referencing of all the writings male nurses; to develop the design of the profession nurse.
In 1960, Virginia Enderson wrote a theory on the needs: " The Care Male nurses mainly consists in assisting the individual, patient or bearing, in the achievement of the acts which contribute to the maintenance of health (or with a peaceful death) and that it would achieve by itself if it had enough forces, of will or to know. It is probably the specific contribution of the nurse to be able to give this assistance so as to allow that which receives it to act without recourse outside as quickly as possible."
