Virgin Records

Virgin Records is a founded label musical in 1972 by the contractor Richard Branson and Nik Powell. The original logo was drawn by Roger Dean.

Virgin Records is repurchased in 1992 by the company major EMI Group for approximately 1 billion dollars.

Several Filiale S was born since: Real World Records, Innocent Records, Not Blank Records (specialized in the Blues) and Hut Records.

On its side, Virgin Group created in 1996 a new competitor label : V2 Records.

Virgin Records has amalgamated in 2006 with Capitol Records. Its catalog is centered mainly on the contemporary popular musics, of type Rock, R' B, etc
