Vipers de Détroit
The Vipers de Détroit were a frankness from Hockey of North America. Based with Strait in the Michigan, the team made her beginnings in 1994 in the international Ligue of hockey and off played her home matches in the skating rink The Palace Auburn Hills . In 1997, the team gains the Turner Cut, as a champion of the eliminatory Séries.
History
Beginnings
The frankness settles in Détroit in 1994 as a continuity of the Golden Eagles of Salt Lake under the impulse of the owner of the Pistons of Strait, Palace Sports and Entertainment . A partnership with Chrysler Corporation manufacturer the Dodge Viper will give its name to the team.The team engages then Rick Dudley, former trainer of the Sabers of Buffalo of the National league of hockey as a trainer. Carried out by Daniel Shank author of 44 goals, record for the frankness, the beginning of the season is played in front of a great number of spectators, the LNH knowing a strike which cancels half of the season. The Turner Cut

At the time of the intersaison which follows, Palace Sports and Entertainment buys the Lightning de Tampa Bay and affiliate Vipers with the team of LNH. The first footbridge between the two teams sees the departure of Ludzik to join the bench of Lightning and Paulin Bordeleau takes his place.The difficulties of Lightning make that many talented players of Vipers join the LNH and the team of LIH thus loses her best elements and finishes in the last place of division. The season 2000-01 is not better for Vipers and at the conclusion of this season, the LIH stopping its functions, Vipers makes in the same way.
