Vinyamar is a harbor city founded by Turgon at the beginning of the first age. It is located on the sides of the Mount Tared in the area of the Nevrast.
The people of Turgon gave up Vinyamar into 116 of the first age to go to Gondolin.
Nobody never returned in Vinyamar until the arrival of Tuor which went guided by 7 swans there. It is in this city that Ulmo delivered a message to him to be given to Turgon.
