Vintager
Nobody carrying out the Grape harvest, i.e. the harvest of the bunches of grapes in the vines.
Nowadays, the vintage with the hand is more and more often replaced by the use of Machines to gather the grapes.
However, one continues to gather the grapes with the hand. It is the case for historical vines (= old vines), the machines would damage them. The collected bunches are poured in tanks where an endless screw separates the sheets, the raids, etc the grape bays are then transported towards the presses.
The vintager must cut the bunches of grapes on the vine and put them in a hood which it carries on the back. He must generally assemble a scale and lean with the top it truck in order to pour his loading. To gather the grapes is a very physical work.
