Vinnie Paul ( Vincent Paul Abbott ) (born on March 11th 1964 with Dallas with the Texas, the United States) is a beater of heavy known metal for its productions in particular with its groups Pantera and Damageplan.

Musical career

Pantera

Vinnie Paul forms Pantera in 1981 with his/her brother, the guitarist Dimebag Darrell, the bass player Rex Brown, the guitarist Terry Glaze, and the singer Donnie Hart. After the departure of Binder, Glaze replaces it with the song. Until 1990, the group leaves 4 albums which know little success.

After several provisional singers, Pantera recruits Phil Anselmo to replace Glaze in 1988. In 1990 the group signs on the label of Atco Records and leaves " Cowboys from Hell " which is revolving in the career of the group which gives up the Glam metal for the Power metal. After four other albums, an album live and a compilation, Pantera is nominated twice for the Grammy Award of best the song metal, with the Grammy Awards of 1995 for the song " I' m Broken " and with the Grammy Awards of 2001 for the song " Revolution Is My Name" .

In 2003, continuations with the various problems of Anselmo (drug, alcohol…) the group separates.

Damageplan

Following the separation of Pantera, the Abbott brothers form Damageplan . Their single album leaves under the name of " New Found Power" in February 2004. December 8th 2004, at the time of the round of the group, Dimebag Darrell is killed on scene by Nathan Gale with the villa of Alrosa has Columbus in Ohio.

Solos project

After the death of his/her brother and Pantera group, Vinnie Paul creates Big Vin Records in February 2006, leaves Rebel Meets Rebel and a DVD " Dimevision, Volume 1 ".

Vinnie Paul joined a new group of the name of HELLYEAH . January 20th 2007, the group puts two song listens some on their MySpace, " Hellyeah " and " Matter off time ".
