Vineyard of Touraine-Mesland
The vineyard of Touraine-Mesland is a Vignoble of the Val-de-Loire which produces red wines , rosy and white dry. It is produced about 3000 hl on the territory of the appeletion which extends on a surface from approximately 200 hectares on Right Bank from the the Loire downstream from Blois on the Département from Loir-et-Cher.
The white wines result mainly from the Chenin (pineau of the Loire) with generally a small proportion of Chardonnay. Part of the production is vinified in sparkling wine.
The red wines are assemblies of Gamay, often majority, of frank Cabernet (called locally Breton) and of Côt (called malbec in the of Bordeaux one).
These wines, often light, can sometimes in the preserved happy new years being 5 or 6 years.
