Vineyard of Quarter-of-Thatch

The vineyard of Quarter-of-Thatch is a vineyard of the Val-de-Loire which produces a marrowy white wine. It is classified AOC since the decree of the August 10th 1954 (modified by that of the October 7th 2003) and covers a surface of 40 hectares inside the commune of the Rochefort-on-Loire (Département of Maine-et-Loire).

It is resulting at 100% from the Chenin and bénificie of the noble rot ( Botrytis cinerea ): it is collected manually with surmaturity by sort successive. Its dress yellow constant with is gilded.

Quarter-of-Thatch presents an excellent aptitude for ageing (up to 20 years, even more for the best bottles).
