Vineyard of Maranges
The vineyard of Maranges is southernmost of the Côte of Beaune. Located in the prolongation of Santenay, it produces powerful red wines, framed, suited to ageing. Exposed southern/southern west, the grounds are mainly argilo limestones. Name gathers the wines produced on the communes of Cheilly , Sampigny and Dezize Maranges . The AOC " Maranges" was obtained in 1989. Several climates emerge from names " village" : Fussière, the Field of the Kings, the Field of Boutière, the Field of Loyères… To discover at the time of a visit in this beautiful area which is Burgundy in complement of other villages.
